The factory-fitted GVM upgrade for selected new-gen HiLux 4x4 grades will be offered by Toyota Australia from August 2026, increasing payload by around 372-435 kg depending on variant and reaching a maximum near 1,525 kg, while preserving the original five-year warranty and safety-system compatibility. The upgrade is locally engineered and installed by Toyota, not an aftermarket modification, and is intended to simplify compliance and total-cost-of-ownership for fleet buyers.
