Massie loses primary challenge in victory for Trump
The race was Trump' most important stop on his revenge tour to oust Republican defectors.

Kentucky contest was described as among the costliest in House history, and a measure of Donald Trump's influence inside the GOP. Trump endorsed Gallrein publicly while Massie criticized Trump on certain votes. Gallrein advances to the final election in a deeply Republican district, facing Melissa Strange, a Democrat. Massie served since 2012 and fell into Trump's crosshairs in part by calling for Jeffrey Epstein file release and speaking out against the war in Iran.
