Richard Harden represented with Somerset from 1985 to 1998, plus for Yorkshire (1999-2000), having spells in NZ. He later moved to New Zealand, and operates a financial advisory firm. He is married to Rachel Reese, whom he backed in the Nelson mayoral race, and they wed in 2017; the couple have three children from prior marriages.
