One Nation MP cries as he confirms he is gay in first speech
Newly elected South Australian One Nation MP Jason Virgo confirmed he is homosexual with an Indonesian Muslim boyfriend during his maiden speech to parliament.

His record includes LGBTQIA+ advocacy and prior association with Labor Party and Sex. In May 2026 he said he revealed he is openly homosexual and has an Indonesian Muslim boyfriend. His election helped boost One Nation in South Australia as leader Cory Bernardi secured a Legislative Council position.
