Clare Wright appeared at public events, as a prominent historian, noted for The Forgotten Rebels of Eureka (2013), offering women’s perspectives on the Eureka Rebellion. She has produced ABC history programs, such as Utopia Girls and The War That Changed Us. Wright holds a PhD from the University of Melbourne, heading public history projects at La Trobe and has served on the National Museum of Australia Council since 2022. 2020 saw Wright awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia. for her services to literature and historical research.
