Mohamed Esa of Ethiopia took victory in 2:04:55 for the men’s race at the 2026 Cape Town Marathon setting the course record with wheelchair records also established. Ethiopian runner Dera Dida Yami won the women’s race in 2:23:18 in Cape Town 2026. Eliud Kipchoge took part and finished 16th in the elite field. These results confirm Esa’s victory and Yami’s Cape Town 2026 crown. The men’s record for the course plus wheelchair records were established during the race.
