IBPS Clerk Mains 2025 Overview
The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) will conduct the Clerk Mains Exam 2025 between November 29 and December 2, 2025. The test will be held in a single daily shift from 8:35 a.m. to 10:35 a.m., across multiple centers nationwide. Candidates who cleared the preliminary round are eligible to appear for the mains phase.

The entire paper carries 200 marks, with each incorrect answer resulting in a penalty of 0.25 marks. The question paper is available in both English and Hindi, except for the English section.
Important Instructions
Candidates must:
- Arrive at the venue 30 minutes before the exam begins.
- Bring an original ID proof and the IBPS admit card.
- Follow all biometric verification and hygiene protocols.
Electronic devices, smartwatches, or any textual material are strictly prohibited inside the exam premises.
Category-wise Vacancy Breakdown
According to IBPS data, the Clerk recruitment drive offers thousands of vacancies across categories. The approximate distribution is:
- General: 2,700+
- Scheduled Castes (SC): 1,200+
- Scheduled Tribes (ST): 600+
- Other Backward Classes (OBC): 1,500+
- Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): 800+
These numbers may vary slightly depending on the participating banks’ final requirements.
Selection and Result Declaration
The final selection will depend solely on the candidate’s performance in the Mains Exam, as prelims marks are not considered in the final merit list. Results are expected in early January 2026, followed by provisional allotment in participating banks.
