The United Nations Sustainable Development Group ( UNSDG ) is a network of United Nations agencies working to support implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development at the country level. The UNSDG brings together 8 United Nations agencies – UNDP, UNICEF, UNFPA, UN Women, WFP, UNV, ILO and UN-Habitat – to support country partners in their efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The UNSDG works to ensure that countries have the knowledge, resources and support they need to achieve the SDGs. This includes providing technical assistance, capacity development, policy advice and support to national authorities. The UNSDG also works to strengthen the capacity of national authorities to mobilize resources and support for sustainable development, and to ensure that the needs of the most vulnerable and marginalized populations are taken into account in the implementation of the SDGs.
“The Sustainable Development Goals are our shared vision of humanity’s future – a future where everyone can live in dignity and peace, and where the benefits of progress are shared by all.” – António Guterres, UN Secretary-General
