Supercars' updated Grand Finale
The Australian Supercars Championship has announced an updated Grand Finale schedule for the 2023 season, with the title-decider event now set to take place at the iconic Mount Panorama Circuit in Bathurst, New South Wales.
The revised schedule includes a new format for the Grand Finale, which will see the top six drivers in the championship standings competing in a unique 'top-six shootout' to determine the winner.
"We're thrilled to announce the updated Grand Finale schedule for the 2023 season," said Supercars CEO, Sean Seamer. "The top-six shootout is going to be an exciting and unpredictable format that will give our fans a thrilling conclusion to the season."
The Grand Finale will take place on November 19-20, with the top six drivers in the championship standings competing in a high-stakes shootout to determine the winner.
The updated schedule is as follows:
- Friday, November 18: Practice session 1 (10:30am-11:30am)
- Friday, November 18: Practice session 2 (4:00pm-5:00pm)
- Saturday, November 19: Qualifying (10:30am-11:30am)
- Saturday, November 19: Top-six shootout (4:00pm-5:00pm)
- Sunday, November 20: Grand Finale (10:30am-12:00pm)
